Dental Implants vs. Conventional Bridgework

Of course there is more than one way to replace a missing tooth, or even teeth. But we must be clear that not all methods are created equal. Dentures and partials are used when the majority of a patient’s teeth are missing or need to be replaced. Crown and bridgework is usually performed when one or a few teeth are missing. Dental implants replace individual teeth and are often used to stabilize dentures, partials, and bridges—demonstrating the superiority of implantation over the alternatives.
